The Southern Tunisia Heritage Guides is a collection produced as part of the European project H2020 SfaxForward: Cultural heritage in South Tunisia: promoting interdisciplinarity and participatory sciences for an inclusive society, 2019-2023, carried by a consortium of four partners:
The Maghreb House of Human Sciences (MHHS) of the University of Sfax (Tunisia), The Mediterranean House of Human Sciences of Aix-en-Provence (MHHS), the House of Human Sciences and South-East Society (HHSS) in Nice, and the House of Human Sciences (HHS-FUB) in Brussels.
Based on a systemic and integrated conception of heritage, the SfaxForward project pursues an interdisciplinary and participatory approach to research, with the aim of studying, perpetuating, promoting, and developing the rich archaeological, historical, civilizational, and artistic heritage of southern Tunisia.
The collection of guides to Southern Tunisia heritage is made up of several volumes which present different aspects of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of this vast and rich region of Tunisia as well as several tourist circuits.
